Lisbon (Portugal) – Noel Gomes and Mário Lopes of the LLEON Group, received on May 2 at its headquarters in Carnaxide – Oeiras, an official Delegation from the United Arab Emirates, led by His Excellency Mahmood Al Hashmi, current CEO of Ajman Media City Free Zone. The purpose of the meeting was to welcome His Excellency to Portugal as well as to formalize the cooperation of bilateral business relations between the United Arab Emirates and Portugal extended to the Portuguese speaking countries.
In this first visit to Portugal, His Excellency Mahmood Al Hashmi, traveled to Lisbon with his Delegation composed by Mr. Rishi Somaiya – Commercial Advisor of Ajman Media City Free Zone and Mr. Atif Malik – Official Partner of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, to promote the United Arab Emirates, namely Ajman Media City Free Zone, in order to present the current investment opportunities and also observe the attractiveness of the Portuguese market.
In an organized initiative and under the responsibility of the LLEON Group, in addition to B2B meetings with Portuguese businessmen from different sectors of activity, His Excellency Mahmood Al Hashmi presided at the Noble Hall of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to the 1st conference “Expand your Business in United Arab Emirates “.
This event attracted entrepreneurs from a wide range of sectors interested in learning about the opportunities that the Emirate of Ajman currently present (and the Free Trade Zone in particular), as well was an opportunity for the entrepreneurs clarify their issues directly with this Delegation from UAE.
It turned out to be an excellent opportunity for networking, thus promoting the sharing of experiences and the establishment of potential partnerships.
It should be noted that this conference was attended by a diverse panel of speakers: José Magro – Vice President of the World Trade Center Lisbon and former Executive Vice President of the Luso-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mário Guerreiro – Emirates Portugal; Fernando Gomes – Emirates SkyCargo; Dr. José Miguel Boquinhas – Coordinator of the Interministerial Working Group on Health Tourism – Ministry of Health.
At the end of this official visit, the investment opportunities in this Free Zone were clearly visible, with clear added value for the establishment of Portuguese companies, whose products and services are increasingly recognized internationally.
